Modesto Art Museum was founded in 2005, and is a nonprofit, tax exempt, educational corporation. The museum hosts opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to create and learn about art and to enjoy art created by others. The museum does this without a building of its own, taking art out into the community. Art events may happen at a gallery, in a theatre or cafe, on the street, or in a park. They can last one day or several months.
