Modesto Reel Food Film Festival - 2008
The Modesto Reel Food Film Festival brings you the best in classic and contemporary films about food and eating, and is the only annual food film festival in California. The event is co-hosted with the Modesto Film Society and the State Theatre.

6:30 - 7:30 Tasting Reception 6:45 Spectrum School of Music Instrumental Ensemble 7:30 Short food films The short film program includes Potato, an animated homage to the spud; Hamburger America, George Motz’s cross-country odyssey to find the best burger in the country; Coffee Shop, a commentary on contemporary infatuation with exotic coffee drinks by Dave DeBord; A Love Supreme, Canadian film maker Nilesh Patel’s beautiful tribute to his arthritic mom’s ability to hand-make samosas, and from the United Kingdom, Dream Kitchen of Tomorrow, a fun-filled, retro look at kitchens by Mike Gurman . 8:30 Intermission 8:45 Feature Film: Big Night, featuring Tony Shalhoub, Stanley Tucci, Isabella Rossellini and Ian Holm
